WILDFLOWER FARM
JAMESTOWN, RHODE ISLAND
This small house and guesthouse are restrained yet generous in their response to the clients passions for plants, landscape, cooking, entertaining, and dogs.
The driveway passes through a working farm; where greenhouses, raised beds and other horticultural pursuits are located.
The buildings located at the back of the property are sited around a private fenced pool and terraces, keeping small dogs safe and predators at bay. The materials and shapes of the buildings are limited to simple gable and flat roofs, clad in vertical gray siding with metal and green“live” roofs.
The landscape is intended to blend into the land trust property and wetland which surround the north, south, and west sides of the property, maintaining habitats for birds, deer, and other small animals.
